New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. Files Registration Statement for Initial Public Offering of Common StockNew York, NY, January 13, 2004 -- New York Mortgage Trust, Inc. ("NYMT"), a new company formed to acquire The New York Mortgage Company, LLC, announced today that it has filed a registration statement for the initial public offering of its common stock. NYMT anticipates raising net proceeds of approximately $140 million to $160 million in the offering. NYMT plans to use the net proceeds from this offering to fund new residential mortgage loan originations, repay certain indebtedness of The New York Mortgage Company, LLC, and invest in mortgage-backed securities.
